Mastopexy (breast Lift) After Massive Weight Loss
The Following Text Is Quoted:
This is an educational video that combines my passion for treating massive weight loss patients with my passion for most things tech.
In every case I perform, I learn something new. With a video camera, I learn even more. In this case, I learned what I already knew. I did not clean or change my gloves during filming. I apologize for this. Please note that despite this distraction, the operation did not result in significant blood loss. Please try to over look my soiled golves.
My patient had a Roux-en-Y Gastric bypass for morbid obesity a couple of years earlier. She lost about 175 lbs, and was unhappy with the appearance of her breasts, as described in the video.
The goal was to lift the breasts and improve symmetry, and shape. The patient did not want breast enlargement, so implants were not placed at this time.
After the patient heals, I will update the video with postoperative photos.
Thank you for watching, and I invite your feedback.

Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
|
 |
A type of gastric bypass procedure which combines restrictive and malabsorption techniques - meaning, it reduces the amount of food a patient can comfortably eat (restriction), and also reduces the amount of calories that can be digested in the small intestine (malabsorption). This combination of bariatric methods leads to greater weight loss and the roux-en-y procedure is seen as one of the best ways to treat clinically severe obesity.
