Default Walk Away the Pounds Roni Started This Thread

Hello everyone,

I just began (again) to exercise. I am using Walk Away the Pounds. If you haven't heard about it, it is an indoor walking program. I've used it before and it was a big a help (only stopped because of a broken foot). I have back and joint problems like many of us, so walking outside away from home is a scarey thought. Using the indoor walking system I know that if my back goes out, I'm just feet away from the sofa. The DVDs are very motivating and have a mileage meter on screen so you know how far you have walked. I started out with the 1 mile DVD, but can only walk a half a mile. I'm working my way up to that mile! I highly recommend this series.

Debbie

Interesting - never heard of it before now ((btw - anyone interest can find the system at Walk at Home)) --- This could have surely come in handy several months ago - but as I loose weight - I've found it so much easier to walk around the neighborhood. I feel better for the walk, the fresh air is good and my dog loves me for it... Anyway- thanks for the info Roni - I'm sure others will find it interesting.

Jacquii.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that the DVDs have people of all different sizes, ages, etc. You won't just see a bunch of leotard clad uber skinny people on the tape. I know that is a turn off for me with exercise videos..so I wanted to mention it.

Debbie

LOL - that's nice = diversity is the name of the game. I know it's probably a little bit better having people of all different sizes and colors, as opposed to some of the infomercials I've seen when everyone seems to be a beautiful White chicks in size 2 LMAO

Exactly Jacquii. The series even has men on it. I find some exercise videos where a size 2 woman, with zero body fat is shouting at me that I can do it...don't stop...is really irritating. LOL

BTW, I saw a few of the Walk away the Pounds DVDs are on sale at Target this week.

Wow I love Leslie Sansone! I have quite a few of her tapes. Note I said tapes!! LOL!! That's how old they are! She has wonderful programs that really do work. I have been going to Curves and doing Wii Fit in the afternoons. Maybe I will mix it up with some of her stuff. There is also a new Wii "game" coming out by the female trainer from The Biggest Looser. Can't remember her name at the moment; Jillian something. Anyway it is on order but hasn't come in yet. Thanks for the reminder. Dani

Hi Debbie,
Never heard about walk away the pounds program so thanks for the share. I will be kind if you will share some informative link or mileage meter pictures with others. I am sure noticing distance on mileage meter will help the user to notice the progress.
