thank you for the website i really appreciate it. My doctor was not very optimistic about me being able to have a baby afterward. He said he's seen some of his patients have them but some have a lot of miscarriages. I kinda feel like i'd be worse off having a baby at my weight but i'm still just very nervous about he whole thing. lots to think about!
    thanks,
    Kris

    Kristina Marie,

Actually all the info I have says that after 1-2 years pregnancy is do-able

Here's web site that discusses it. The info is from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist

Pregnancy after Weight Loss Surgery: ACOG Issues New Guidelines
    The basic guidelines are:
--consult her bariatric surgeon at the beginning of her pregnancy,
--consult a nutritionist for advice on the physiological changes during pregnancy and schedule a wide-spectrum assessment for micronutrient deficiencies,
--wait 12 to 24 months after bariatric surgery before conceiving, and
--closely watch maternal weight and nutritional status, including regular ultrasounds to monitor fetal growth.
