First of all, your post probably hasn't been noticed as it's in the wrong forum. This is a forum for suggestions. Just wanted to let you know you probably weren't intentionally ignored.

Don't worry about the scale. Your body is going to ebb and flow. The scale is not the worry right now. Right now you just need to focus on getting your nutrition and following your surgeon's protocol. Everyone will lose differently, you will have high and low numbers and you will have weeks you won't lose anything at all. Just worry on following your surgeon's plans. The weight loss will happen on its own.

Thanks for the encouragement. Great advice. I am struggling getting the protein only about 40 grams per day and water only about 32oz per day. I find it difficult to sip over and over again. But I am trying any suggestions? I'm now 20 days out and have lost 22 lbs.

My apologies for the VERY delayed response. I admit it ==> I've been slacking more than a bit as far as WLS Journey Community Forums is concerned....

Yeah - wrong section. I generally monitor the Suggestions forum anyway - but seemed to have missed this post. I've moved it to the correct section ;)

Anyway - Everybody is a bit different as far as their weightloss. There's not really a set "20 pounds per week" type of thing. I totally agree with Diminishing Dawn: follow your surgeon's plan and stick with the program and the weight will come off! I actually had surgery back in April last year... I told myself that I wouldn't weight everyday or even every week or month. I don't even own a scale actually and weight only when I go to the doctor's office. This helps me stay sane ina sense lol - Not worrying about every pound or plateau, ect... It's interesting seeing the weight come off and the looseness in my clothing as the reward, rather than a certain amount of pounds gone...

As a new post-op - you'll have a task and a half getting in the protein and liquids. I sure did - but as time goes by - you'll be able to tolerate a bit more. Just do your best and sip throughout the day, as you do NOT want to become dehydrated. The liquid is especially important for new post-ops. 22 pounds in 20 days is PHENOMENAL! Congrats on your sucess thus far and feel free to introduce yourslef over in the Howdy Hi Introductions (http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/general-community-discussion/howdy-hi-introductions/) section ;)
