Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Stacy Deering and I'm from South East Tennessee. I received my realize lap band on August 18, 2009. I have currently lost 98 pounds and only 39 pounds away from my goal weight. OMG...I just realized how close I am to my goal weight!:dance:
I am hoping by joining this site I will be able to make some new friends and have a few people that know exactly what I am going through so I can actually vent out my frustrations I am having.

WHOA! 98 pounds since mid-August?!?! That is AWESOME - just wow. Congratulations!

Anyway - welcome to the forum Stacey. Dr. Boyce is an excellent surgeon to be sure - He did an excellent job with me - I had the lap roux-en-y back on April 28th this year and haven't had any problems whatsoever . The entire Staff at New Life is just amazing.

There are quite a few banders on The Journey - inspiring member participation has proved a bit of a challenge though.... We have plenty of forums on the main forum index (http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/)to choose from - so feel free to post your frustrations as well as your wow moments. I'm sure there are many who can appreciate the post-op journey and add our 2-cents to your posts LOL
