I really don't know what to say but i always thought i was born fat i will die fat. I went to high school quickly found out how truly curel teenager are. So i tried to loose some weight with the help of the director of science in my high school who was also dieting at the time it was cool i lost about 20lbs. grew up and again quickly found out that adults are as cruel as the teens (those are the apples that don't fall that far from the tree). I have been going through life tryin to fit in a world were i stand out. I have come to the realization that i will never fit in to the world of today i can fix me and mybe the world will follow.

I too was always fat in all school grades. Sadly - in elementary school - we'd have "taco day" every Wednesday - and it became a sort of ritual that all the left-over tacos would be put on a tray for a sort of eating contest type of thing. I became the person who everyone marveled at - I'd eat all the tacos that were left - you know that ol' adage "clean your plate" -- I sure did LOL --- I kinda reminisce about that time and think that's when my weight issues started. And boy the kids were cruel. Sure were.

Anyway - now that I've had the gastric bypass - I'm not sure that I'll feel any different as a person - It took me a long time to be comfortable in my own skin - and I finally am - even before considering the surgery option. But yeah = I know what you mean Chanda - You gotta do you before anyone else can accept you for who you are. And if the do = fine. If they don't - then you still have your own self respect!

So - I applaud you for that ;)
