Hi, I am a newbie here. Trying to figure this all out lol. I had gastric bypass in Oct 2009 and I lost 135 lbs....so excited and totally a different person. I am in the process of finding a GOOD plastic surgeon to help me with the ugly loose skin. Clothes do a good job of hiding it but when your naked well you get the picture...yuck! So thankful I finally went through with getting wls, I was skeptic at first and scared. Best decision I have made. My husband and kids love the new me, so much more energetic and my little one loves that she can wrap her arms around me now. I hope to get to know all of you and to learn more about wls and post op and hopefully some info on plastics. Have a great day everyone.

Hi Pam- I'm fond of saying, "I'm collecting for the Jacquii Cooke's Big Titties Fund!" People get a good laugh outta the line, but truth is - my boobs are so sad after WLS. I could do with an augmentation there and a little nipping from the thighs and more than a snip or two from my tummy. Coming from 438 to 260 - that's a lot of bulk... It's a lot for the skin to hold in. So when that's gone... ((sigh))

Now I'm wondering if the phrase "thick skin" actually originated from a true source and was shaped into the meaning it now holds. I swear my skin is thick and HEAVY.

Anyway - welcome to The Journey. The forum's been more than a bit slow. There's some good info here though, perhaps we'll get it going again. Whatever the case may be - keep us updated on your progress. Plastics is certainly something I'm interested in being 2 years post-op.

Jacquii.
