We have developed an integrated infractions & warnings system which will be used in the event a Member fails to adhere to or acknowledge our lenient board policies. So - in order to assure that The Journey Posting Policy (http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/journey-community/journey-forum-policies/1-journey-posting-policy-new-post.html) is followed and that there is minimal disruption within the Community, The Journey Moderating Team will be manning the automated points system.
What Are Infractions And Warnings All About?
Five Point infractions may be doled out for the following offenses:
The Journey Posting Policy Violation
Blatant Insulting of Fellow Board Member(s)
Inappropriate Language Used in Derisive Manner
We abhor and will not allow spam in our forums. As such - Any posts and/or threads containing blatant spam will be met with either a 10 Point infraction or immediate permanent banning and will be issued at the sole descretion of The Journey Moderating Team.
Decisions in the matter of board spam are not up for discussion and are final.
What Are The Infraction Repercussions?
Each infraction or warning will generally have a duration of 30 days, but may also be custom set by the issuing Journey Staff Member.
Once a Member reaches the banning threshold (30 points), their account is automatically banned by our system for a duration of 2 weeks and/or until enough points expire.
Are Warnings Any Different Than Infractions?
Yes. It is the goal of the warning system to encourage members to review, understand, and follow The Journey Posting Policy (http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/journey-community/journey-forum-policies/1-journey-posting-policy-new-post.html). So when a warning is issued, an email is dispatched laying out the infraction, points assessed, days points expire, and how to appeal any such warning.
And In Closing...
If you find any section of The Journey Posting Policy (http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/journey-community/journey-forum-policies/1-journey-posting-policy-new-post.html) confusing, please open a ticket at The Journey Support Desk (http://wlsjourney.org/support_desk) and ask for clarification.
Thank you and 3 cheers for a trouble free, supportive Community for all our WLS Support needs!
Jacquii.
