I've just sent out an email to all registered members. I just want to take this opportunity to apologize for the downtime. The event that lead to the downtime was out of my control. It's been a frustrating scenario to be sure.

Our sister-site WLS Journey Recipe Central (http://recipes.wlsjourney.org) is back online as well! Browse to http://recipes.wlsjourney.org to access Recipe Central, which houses a nice variety of healthy, free, tasty & nutritional recipes suitable for weight loss surgery post-ops.

Jacquii Cooke here. Many of you may already know that The Journey had been offline for several days. I offer my sincerest apologies for the downtime. I woke up Saturday morning August 28, 2010 to find all of my websites offline. Our previous webhost HostV reported that their data center experienced what they've called a "malicious criminal act" which resulted in total data loss for select clients. WLSJourney.org was amongst the affected sites, along with 10 additional websites of mine. I have since switched webhosts and feel comfortable in our new provider! I will be implementing my own back-up security system within the next couple of weeks so that WLSJourney.org and my other sites are protected in case such a devastating scenario were to happen again.

I had saved most all WLSJourney.org files and database backups, so all was not lost. Fortunately all threads & posts, avatars, album pictures, profile pics and other miscellaneous images are still intact. Unfortunately though, a good percentage of thread attachments have been lost...

It's taken a lot of work and a few weeks to bring the forum back online. There may be a few issues however, so we request that you please use the contact form at http://http://wlsjourney.org/community-forums/sendmessage.php if you experience any issues browsing the board. I will be happy assist so that you can login and participate in forum discussions.
