Hi Jacquii, Thank you for your warm welcome. We (being the brits) can take a little time to warm to people...we just float around the outside until something takes our interest. I'll do my best to post as often as I can.

I do have a quick update after my last visit to the hospital my surgeon has started (and yes its only the paperwork phase) the process for reconstructive surgery late next year. So if my NHS auth sign off the paperwork looks like I will get my excess skin removed by this time next year. Good Bye to my MOOBS at last.....hahaha

LOL @ the MOOBS
That's good though - so congrats on getting the approval - is insurance gonna take care of it for you? Yeah - that's pretty sweet - and you are so close to goal too! Very nice.

Jacquii.

Hi Jacquii that's where being here in the UK has its up side. We have a National Health Service here. Because my BMI was high enough they took on the operation and will hopefuly take on the next round of reconstructive surgery as well at no cost to me. I do of course pay my taxes and have been paying them for 20 yrs now so I guess I have paid for some of the cost but nothing like you guys have to pay in the states. It also means that my aftercare won't just stop because the money has run out. Would love to move to the states but wouldn't have got the operation over there......

A National Health Service definitely sounds interesting - sounds like what the current political brouhaha in the States is all about... I suppose such a "socialized" healthcare type of thing does has its pros and cons - seems like you've benefitted greatly from it! I'm sure there quite a few people who would have liked such a system, after having jumped through hoops to get WLS here in the States LOL

Lucky for me - I'm on Medicare which basically covered the entire surgery process for me - well - about 90% of it anyway.

Jacquii.
