Hey there,
I am excited to finally meet some wonderful people out there. I had the
gastric bypass in May 09. I won't lie it was difficult from the liquid diet to the surgery to staying away from carbs. Well I am down 40 pounds, I know there are a lot of people out there that have hit their 80 to 100 pound mark and had the surgery at the same time I did. That is great but I was one of those that meat and eggs made me real sick. So I ended up turning to bread or cereal just to keep something down. I have started the low carb diet once again to get me back on track. . And as for exercise i walk quite a bit with my backpack on campus to my six different classes and I am also a single mom of 4. And yes they keep me BUSY. So that is why i am here to get some wonderful ideas that are out there.. there must be something i have not tried. And i am open to any ideas..
Looking forward to meet you, Hasta Pronto

Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
|
 |
A type of gastric bypass procedure which combines restrictive and malabsorption techniques - meaning, it reduces the amount of food a patient can comfortably eat (restriction), and also reduces the amount of calories that can be digested in the small intestine (malabsorption). This combination of bariatric methods leads to greater weight loss and the roux-en-y procedure is seen as one of the best ways to treat clinically severe obesity.
