Hi I am from Houston. I had gastric bypass surgery on July 2,2009. My surgery was performed by Dr. Pat Reardon. My starting weight was 330lbs. my current weight is 283lbs. I feel that I am losing slower than others. I have started exercising on a daily basis to try and speed up the weight loss.

Hi Kitra and welcome to The Journey! Do feel free to update your profile to include your current info and edit your avatar.

I say -47 pounds in a few months is still quite an accomplishment to be proud of! I think we're all different and our post-op weightloss really individualized. Stick within the phase guidelines your surgeon, nutritionist and exercise physiologist have set for you and you'll do fine.

Again - welcome, enjoy and happy posting!

Jacquii.
