Thanks for posting your video Chanda! Interesting info indeed. I usually get my vitamins from my surgeon's office. Called the "Perfect Pac" and includes all the vitamins post-op needs. I think I might request some samples from Bariatric Advantage though. I'd like nice tasting chewable vitamins actually.

They were quite good to you - so hopefully will be the same for me!

Allright = appreciate the info

Jacquii.

Default Re: Help With Vitamins!!!

I get all my vitamins from Wal-Mart I use the regular Calicum Citrate (3 tabs day) Women's Daily Vitmans (2 tabs day) I used to take Ferrous Sulfate but you can't take that and milk or calcium suppliment together or you lose the benefit for it. I used to get my stuff from GNC but I save money now I'm almost 4 years post op. I do take added Vitaman D 1000mg daily because of Calcium deficiancy. I also take Biotin 5,000 mcg for hair and skin when my hair came out after my first few months it help keep it growing in healthy again. I hate chewable vitamins even my kids didn't like them when they were babies.

A WLS friend at our recent Oak Ridge, TN support group meeting mentioned optisource vitamins available at walgreens - I haven't tried them yet - but I absolutely LOVE the concept of chewable vitamins. Instead of feeling like I'm dosing with pills - it's more like candy - One of the days I'll get my but in gear and give the optisource and/or bariatric advantage and/or the celebrate vitamins a try. Yeah - I've heard good things about celebrate vits as well - which are available at Bariatric Vitamins | Celebrate Bariatric Supplements | Bariatric Surgery & Nutrition
