Picture of me 6 months post-op roux-en-y in jeans for the first time in 3 years

I had bought several pairs of jeans and corduroys back in 2006. In fact - I had bought a lot of new clothes to update for autumn/winter that season. Nice stuff actually. Well - I wore the stuff for about 3 months before I started gaining weight....again. So I ended up packing the clothes up. I actually surprised myself by not actually just throwing everything away - I'm not generally a pack rat LOL

Who would have thought that 2009 would see me in those damn clothes again!?!?!? WILDNESS I tell ya!

Anyway - I managed to squeeze my fat ass into all those clothes - some of the jeans were even a bit too big - so I'm styling and profiling this season Seems I bought some pretty timeless outfits - so everything's still in style

Jacquii.

Congratulations Jacquii!

Now just wait until the day you wake up, throw those jeans on and they fall around your knees buttoned. Your "Wow" moments have only just begun. It's a wonderful feeling. I'm two years out and I still marvel at the pretty clothes I can wear now. I bought a dress at TJ Maxx (a designer dress) and that never would have happened pre-surgery. It's still the most incredible feeling.

The other day I bought a pair of sexy Bisou Bisou jeans that were cut way down in price to find that my body now fits quite nicely in them. Someone told me I had a nice butt when I was out and I wasn't sure whether to smack him or to hug him. LOL You are going to have so many "Wow" moments and even a few years from now you'll still be seeing them. The fun is just beginning!

Deb

Wow! Now I'm all blushing LOL
I was just posting away - didn't realize that you Ladies were posting this thread ha! I thank you all so much for the enthusiasm. It's been a while since I've gotten my fat ass in a pair of jeans - so I was quite ecstatic.

Thanks Ladies!

Sweet LOL - When I start getting compliments on my butt again... WatchOutWorld LOL
I rather like the concept of the fun beginning! I told some of the Ladies at my surgeons office that I'm feeling excited about life for the first time in years!

You know what Diana? This is the first "full length picture" I've shared in YEARS! I would never have shared such a picture 6 months ago lol. So - it's nice - I can't wait to start congratulating you on your success as well - You've already made an awesome selection in Dr. Boyce. He's the best!

I do feel better! a LOT better actually.
Now we gotta help find a way to get your insurance issue remedied
I was just looking at a thread I posted a while ago (Insurance Coverage and Weight loss Surgery) --- I wonder if there's a way you might be able to select an alternate insurance coverage through your work - one that will cover the surgery? Or possibly even discussing with someone if there is exceptions that can be made - especially considering the abrumpt switch ARG... Anyway - thanks again Girl = I appreciate it.

Jacquii.
