Hello girls !! Bonjour ;-)

Thank you sooooo soooooo soooooooooooo mcuh for your words, help and love

Finally I had a discussion with my mother !!
And it went well too !! I was so afraid to talk about the lapband with her and it took me hundred tons of courage to open my mouth and explain it ! BUT it was even more easy than in my secret dreams LOL I was totally surprised by her reaction ! I thought she would be afraid, angry,.... but she totally agree with my decision and she told me the only thing she wanted for me is to feel good and have a healthier life with no suffering anymore !! We
even cried in each other arms, it's was very moving because I can't remember when I said to her I love her or hugs her for the last time ! I think it was when I used to be a very young girl !!

Well I can say this decision has several GOOD parts AHAHAHHAHAHA

My sister is a little bit afraid but now she is ok with that ! I told my parents-in-law and they said that the most important is I fell fine and agree with me !!

yes yes yes I'm happy ! for me to tell/explain to all my family as the harder thing ! I am not afraid for the surgery or the "troubles" I should feel with my band, I was afraid to talk ! And girls you gave me the courage and motivation ! I will never thank you enough

I send you tons of smoooooooches !

XOXO

Default My decision

My decision to have this surgery was one of the best things I could have ever done. Last year in Oct. I was diagnosed as having 2 leaking valves in my heart. For months it realy bothered me, I researched and read on what can happen. When I finally got myself together I had to make a choice to get some of the weight off to release someof the pressure on my heart. My thoughts stuck with my children, I want to be able to live to see a grandchild born. I want to live to grow old and not die because of the decisions I have made. Along with the weight I was starting to have problems with my vitamin D levels that never stayed on target. Even though I was eating whatever I wanted my vitamin D levels would not remain in normal levels. Now that I have had the surgery it has not been an eay task. You have to exercise and make the right food choices. I am currently almost 2 monhs out and have lost 16 pounds. When I went to the doctor for my post op appointment I had gained 5 pounds and was devastated. I have currently lost all of them but 1 pound. It may seem like it is not a big amount but would I have done this without the help of my band. I would not turn back the clock to choose any other procedure.

Very nice testimony for post-op banding Gina! I'm very happy for you and your success - I've moved your post to the Post-op Banding forum --> My decision to have lapband

I am very happy to see Jacquii's post. This positive attitude will make people confident and trusty. I think science has developed very smartly. They won't give chance to anyone for pointing them. All the best for the people who are going for surgery.
